ISTE Update: Bryan ISD Crafts BYOD Model

In fall 2012, Bryan ISD, Texas, launched its MIT (My Instructional Technology) Program, which allowed K-12 students to bring their own electronic devices to school “for the sole purpose of research, assessment, and/or learning opportunities.” The Instructional Technology Team that led the effort—including Janis Greeno, Jana Wenzel, Troy Kuhn, and Tisha Nowak—presented a poster session at ISTE 2013 to share insights.
